Specifically, this project is going to be a team effort of students from WWU, MVA Alumni, and various other entities working in Ohio from August 17 through September 21 on various projects designed to promote, enhance, and assist Mount Vernon Academy.
But what is this project really? It's a collaborative effort. It's young people passionate about Adventist Education. It's a team of people, people from California, Washington, Ohio, and all other parts of the country banding together to help out one of our schools, Mount Vernon Academy. Started by an alum of MVA, who is now a student at Walla Walla University, this is a project that is banding together young people who love the Lord and are passionate about Adventist Education. These are people that are here to help MVA, to help Adventist Education, and who are prepared to take charge in fighting for change. These are the people who are taking a stand and being the Adventist church of now, in action, in service!
Our overall goal for the project is as follows:
Our goal is to help Mount Vernon Academy to become a strong school with a thriving spiritual environment that will nurture students as they develop their relationship with Jesus Christ. We intend to reach this goal by developing, promoting, and organizing projects to help the school, volunteering our time and resources to assisting the school staff, and creating renewed excitement about the school among Ohio Conference Constituents, MVA Alumni, MVA students, and MVA faculty. We believe that God is still at work at MVA and that he will use anyone who is willing to further His work by serving and inspiring others.
